1. Who we are

TAXMV ("we", "us") is operated by TAXMV, Malé, Republic of Maldives. You can reach us at taxmvai@gmail.com.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns.

2. The service

TAXMV is a subscription software service that lets Maldives businesses scan invoices, extract tax data using AI, create quotations and tax invoices, keep supplier and expense records, and generate reports formatted for the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).

TAXMV is a record-keeping and reporting tool. It is not a tax agent and does not provide legal, audit or tax advice. You remain responsible for reviewing, approving and filing everything you submit to MIRA.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate registration details, keep your login credentials secure, and are responsible for all activity under your account and the accounts of team members you invite. You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act for the business you register.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
• Free trials last 14 days and include a limited number of invoice scans.
• Card prices are charged in USD; the MVR figures shown are converted for convenience.
• You may cancel at any time from the Billing page; access continues to the end of the paid period.
• If a renewal payment fails we retry for a short period before the subscription ends.
• When a plan ends, your data stays viewable and exportable, but new records cannot be added.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload content that is unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or that you have no right to upload;
• use TAXMV to prepare or submit false or misleading tax records;
• resell, sublicense or white-label the service without our written agreement;
• attempt to break, probe, overload or reverse-engineer the service or its security;
• use automated means to extract data beyond the features we provide;
• share one account across multiple unrelated businesses beyond your plan's company limit.

6. Intellectual property

We own the TAXMV software, brand, templates and all related intellectual property. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your subscription is active. You keep all rights in the invoices, documents and business data you upload; you grant us only the licence needed to store, process and display that data to run the service for you.

7. AI-generated output

Data extracted from scanned documents is produced by automated systems and may contain errors. Every extraction is presented for your review and approval before it can be used in a report. You are responsible for verifying figures before filing.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or has unpaid fees. We will give notice where reasonably possible and allow you to export your data unless the law prevents it. You may stop using TAXMV and close your account at any time.

9. Availability and liability

We work to keep TAXMV available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties beyond those required by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for penalties, interest or losses arising from figures you filed without checking them.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use TAXMV after that date means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives.
